MG Motor India launches special edition of Comet EV, Astor, ZS EV and Hector
To celebrate 100 years of the brand's existence, MG Motor has launched special edition models of the Comet EV, Astor, ZS EV and Hector in India. The cars are called the 100-Year Limited Edition and are painted with a distinctive Evergreen colour that pays homage to the British racing green colour.

Outside, the special versions have green paint that pays homage to the legendary 'British Racing Green'. However, MG has dubbed it Evergreen. Along with this striking hue, the cars have a black roof and a special '100-Year Edition' insignia on the tailgate. Their interiors are completely black, with green accents and '100-Year Limited Edition' stitched on the front headrests. The infotainment is also given a green theme colour.
MG 100 year Edition: Powertrains
Keep in mind the updates made to these vehicles are purely aesthetics and no modifications are made to the powertrains. The MG Comet EV is powered by a 42PS and 110Nm of torque rear-mounted e-motor and a 17.3kWh battery pack, with a range of 230 kilometres.
The MG ZS EV gets a larger 50.3 kWh pack with a more powerful electric motor putting out 176PS and 280Nm of torque. The ARAI-certified range has gone up to 461 km. The ZS EV can do 0 to 100 kmph in 8.5 seconds.
The 2024 Astor comes powered by the 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 110PS and 140Nm of torque and a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol unit that makes 140PS and 220Nm of torque. MG offers a five-speed manual, a six-speed torque converter automatic, and a CVT automatic transmission options.
Powering the Hector is a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 143PS and 250Nm and a 2.0-litre inline-four turbocharged diesel unit that delivers 170PS and 350Nm. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a CVT automatic transmission.
