Mini to launch Clubvan in August
Mini has unveiled the 'world's first compact premium delivery van' â" the Clubvan. The company has removed the rear seats from the original Clubman and in its place, has a fixed grate and cargo bay. The windows have been blackened out and have bolsterings of polycarbonate inside the cabin. The rear door glass also has been meted out with the same treatment. The cargo area can handle up to 800kg and the 860-litre loading area has an acrylic roof, attachment hooks and 12V sockets.
The Mini Clubvan will come with three engine options - two petrol and a diesel. While petrol engines will produce power outputs in the region of 98PS and 122PS, the diesel will make 112PS. All the engines will have a 6-speed manual transmission as standard with a 6-speed auto as an option on the diesel.
Mini will be offering the Clubvan in four colours and it will be on sale in international markets starting this August.
