New BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro variant launched at Rs 45.50 lakh

German luxury carmaker BMW has introduced a new variant in the 2 Series Grand Coupe line-up, called the 2 Series Gran Coupe 220i M Sport Pro. It comes with a sticker price of Rs 45.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This new petrol trim sits between the on-sale 220i M Sport and 220 M Sport variants, priced at Rs 43.50 lakh and Rs 45.50 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. The 2 Series Gran Coupe is an entry-level car in the BMW saloon line-up and is now available in three trim levels across petrol and diesel engine options.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro: Design and Interior

In terms of exterior and design, the new 2 Series Grand Coupe 220i M Sport Pro trim is identical to the other two variants. It is available in a choice of three paint options: Alpine White, Black Sapphire metallic, and Snapper Rocks Blue metallic. In addition, it comes equipped with a set of 17-inch M Sport light alloy wheels.

On the inside, BMW offers Sensatec upholstery in two colour schemes: Oyster with Black and all-black. The cabin also gets a distinctive 'illuminated Boston' interior trim instead of 'illuminated Brooklyn' of the other two variants. Other fresh additions include contrasting seams on the dashboard, M anthracite headliner, and M steering wheel wrapped in leather Walknappa.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro: Features

The new 220i M Sport trim comes fitted with a handful of new features, such as a heads-up display, a 10-speaker, 205-watt sound system, and BMW's gesture control. It also gets a new shift-by-wire gear selector switch.

Other features are a panoramic sunroof, two-zone temperature control, ambient lighting, parking and reversing assistants, 10.25-inch driver display, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, launch control, paddle shifters, wireless phone charging, six airbags, attentive assistance system, driving modes: (Ecopro, Comfort, and Sport), and TPMS, among others.

BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe M Sport Pro: Powertrain

Powering the new 2 Series Gran Coupe 220i M Sport Pro is a 1,998cc, inline four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine generating 176PS and 280Nm of torque. This comes mated to a new seven-speed Steptronic Sport dual-clutch transmission.
