New Citroen C3 launched at Rs 6.16 lakh; Bookings for Automatic variant underway
The C3 hatchback has been updated by Citroen India to include extra creature comforts, as well as the much-needed option of an automatic transmission. The new car's starting price is Rs 6.16 lakh (ex-showroom), however, the pricing of the automatic variant is still to be announced.
The 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine is paired with a new 6-speed automatic transmission. This unit generates 110 PS and 205Nm of torque. The turbo engine continues to produce 190Nm if you opt for the 6-speed manual though. There is also a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 82PS and 115Nm of torque but only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Regarding features, the upgraded Citroen C3 receives several enhancements which are seen on the Citroen vehicles. This features 15-inch alloy wheels, projector LED headlights, automatic climate control, power door windows, electronically operated mirrors with an auto-folding feature and automatic climate control. 6 airbags, ISOFIX anchorages, ABS with EBD, and hill hold assist with an automated option are all included as standard equipment on the hatchback.
The updated Citroen C3 hatchback is now open for bookings via the official website or authorised Citroen dealerships. The Citroen C3 rivals the likes of the Tata Punch (starting at Rs 6.13 lakh) and Hyundai Exter (starting at Rs 6.13 lakh).
