New-gen Toyota Camry goes full hybrid
Toyota has unveiled the 2025 Camry luxury sedan throughout the world. Camry's ninth-generation avatar retains the previous profile, but in terms of appearance, it now resembles the upscale Lexus ES.
2025 Toyota Camry: Design
The new Camry's external visual modifications are minor but obvious, giving the car an evolutionary appearance. Front-end improvements include a sharper front grille flanked by revised LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs and a reprofiled front bumper with bigger air inlets. A sleek roofline, contoured body, and 19-inch multi-spoke black and smoky grey-finished alloy wheels distinguish the side profile.
The next-generation Camry has redesigned wraparound LED taillights, a rear lip spoiler, and a restyled diffuser with a dual-tip exhaust that lends a sporty touch to the car. A shark-fin antenna, 'CAMRY' branding in chrome on the boot lid, and a redesigned clamshell bonnet are among the other external visual elements.
2025 Toyota Camry: Interiors and Features
The cabin is also brand new and very stylish. You get a big touchscreen infotainment system with tactile climate control buttons. A completely digital display is also provided for the driver. It is available in a sporty black and red dual-tone cabin motif as well as the basic beige and black interior style worldwide. Leather seat upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, and aluminium pedals are standard.
A 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital driver's display, dual-zone temperature control, powered and ventilated seats with memory function, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger, and a 9-speaker JBL sound system are standard on the new Camry.
Multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and ADAS technologies such as lane change assist, front cross-traffic alert, front and rear park assist, lane departure warning, and an automatic high beam system ensure safety.
2025 Toyota Camry: Powertrain
The new ninth-generation Camry drops the V6 engine and only favours a single petrol-hybrid powertrain. The 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine teamed with two electric motors producing 225PS in total. The Camry hybrid AWD receives an extra back axle motor, for a total power of 232PS. The Camry's hybrid engine is shifted by an eCVT gearbox.
The 2025 Toyota Camry is expected to arrive at Toyota Dealerships internationally in the Spring of 2024. When it is released in India, anticipate it to cost more than the current model, which costs Rs 46.17 lakh (ex-showroom).
