New Honda NX500 launched in India at Rs 5.90 lakh
Honda has officially launched the NX500 in India at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.90 lakh, following its unveiling at EICMA 2023. Positioned as a middleweight adventure tourer, the NX500 is essentially a revamped version of the CB500X, sporting a new moniker that stands for 'New x-over.' Bookings for this adventure-oriented motorcycle are currently open at Honda Big Wing showrooms, with customer deliveries slated to commence next month.
Honda NX500: Design and colours
The Honda NX500 introduces a fresh design, featuring a redesigned face with a new LED headlight incorporating daytime running lights and a sizable windscreen. The motorcycle also boasts a new taillamp and angular fairing. Buyers can choose from three available colours: Grand Prix Red, Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic, and Pearl Horizon White.
Honda NX500: Features and Specs
In terms of features, the NX500 comes equipped with a five-inch display with Bluetooth connectivity, Honda Selectable Torque Control, traction control, Showa SFF-BP USD front forks, an updated rear monoshock, 296mm dual front disc brakes, and a 240mm rear single disc brake. The adoption of new wheels, with a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear, contributes to a weight reduction of 3kg, bringing the total weight of the motorcycle to 196kg.
Honda NX500: Powertrain
The Honda NX500 is powered by a 471cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine producing 47.5PS and 43Nm of torque. It features a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. Positioned to compete against the Benelli TRK 502, the NX500 offers adventure enthusiasts a compelling option in the middleweight adventure tourer segment.
