New Nissan Kicks spotted testing under camouflage
Nissan India currently is only riding on a single vehicle as of today, and that is the Nissan Magnite. But not too long ago, Nissan also did offer the Kicks subcompact crossover in India. The 2024 Nissan Kicks has recently been spotted testing in full camouflage. The new generation model will have a completely new design, additional features, and most likely new engines.
Although, the Kicks offered overseas is quite different from the car that we got in India. So, should we expect the new Kicks to make its way to India in the future? Let's take a closer look at what we know so far.
2024 Nissan Kicks: Design
The new Nissan Kicks appear to be somewhat larger than before. The front end seems more upright and square than the present crossover's slanted snout, with the headlamps positioned further front and atop a newly revised face. Also visible are the integrated ADAS radar and sensors into the new bumper.
A flat roofline and body-mounted ORVMs are visible from the side. The alloy wheel design is unknown, however, it will be patterned after the new diamond cut appearance. Tail lights appear to have developed a little. They are now sleeker and less likely to be wrap-around designs with hawk beaks. There is also a significant spoiler.
2024 Nissan Kicks: Interiors
There are no interior shots, but we anticipate that Nissan will remodel it in tandem with the outside. Along with a redesigned dash and centre console layout, the updated Kicks should have a digital instrument cluster and the newest infotainment software. It should also provide safety features and creature amenities like Apple CarPlay.
2024 Nissan Kicks: Powertrains
We don't have any definite information on the new model's engine possibilities. In the international market, the previous version was offered with a variety of petrol and diesel engine choices. It was offered in India with a 1.5-litre normally aspirated petrol engine that produced 106PS and 142 Nm torque. There was also a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine with 156PS and 254 Nm of torque.
The international launch is scheduled for 2024. We're not sure if this will be available in India. Nissan is now working on introducing a handful of new SUVs to the Indian market
