New spy shots reveal fresh details about 2025 Kia Carens facelift
While the Seltos and Sonet have already received a mid-life update, the Carens is still due for a facelift after its market debut at the beginning of 2022. But one need not worry, as the new spy pictures suggest the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga rival from Kia is will soon get its first major update. A test mule of the MPV was already spotted in South Korea but this time, it was spied in India, giving us a close-up look.
2025 Kia Carens facelift: Design
As seen in the spy pictures, the Carens is set to get a major overall, especially at the front and back. The Carens facelift is expected to follow in Seltos facelift, Sonet facelift, new Carnival, and its other siblings' footstep in terms of design language. However, the overall proportions and profile could remain identical to the on-sale model.
The headline changes to the design, going by the spy shots, are likely to include a new full-length light bar at the front, redesigned headlamps, new front and rear bumpers, reworked tailgate with updated taillights, which might include a light stripe running across its width, and finally newly designed alloy wheels. What is more? One image also hints at a new 360deg camera setup coming to the updated Carens. Given its heavily camouflaged bodywork, it is hard to say whether 2025 Carens will feature ADAS.
2025 Kia Carens facelift: Interior
While the Seltos facelift received a major interior revamp, the Sonet facelift got only subtle updates to its cabin. When it comes to the upcoming Carens, Kia might well rid off the current interior to give it a more modern look. However, it should carry over the all-digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Bose sound system, and ventilated front seats, among others. In addition to that, the brand may offer a handful of new features and upgrade a few already available, such as connected car tech.
2025 Kia Carens facelift: Engine & transmission options
The updated Carens is likely to continue with its 115PS 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor, and 116PS 1.5-litre turbo diesel unit. Transmission options are also expected to be the same as the current model: a six-speed manual, a six-speed iMT, a six-speed torque converter automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic.
2025 Kia Carens facelift: Price
Currently, the prices of the MPV range between Rs 10.52 lakh and Rs 19.67 lakh (both ex-showroom). We expect the new prices for the updated version to start around Rs 10.90-11.20 lakh and go up to Rs 19.90-20.10 lakh.
