New Triumph Daytona 660 India launch tomorrow
At long last, Triumph Motorcycles India has announced that it will be launching the new Daytona 660 in India tomorrow on 29 August. The launch of the motorcycle was scheduled earlier this year but was delayed because of undisclosed reasons.
Triumph Daytona 660: Highlights
Triumph has equiped the Daytona 660 with a host of features, such as an Emergency Deceleration Warning system, traction control, three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain), a colour TFT display, and Bluetooth connectivity. It also gets Showa front forks, a rear monoshock, twin four-piston radial calliper with 310mm discs at the front, a single 220mm rear disc with a single-piston calliper, and new Michelin Power 6 tyres.
Triumph Daytona 660: Engine specifications
Powering the Daytona 660 is a 660cc, inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 95PS at 11,250rpm and 69Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. This motor produces 17 per cent more power and nine per cent more torque compared to the Trident 660. Additionally, over 80 per cent of the peak torque of 69Nm is accessible from as low as 3,125rpm.
Triumph has also given it a new exhaust with a 3-in-1 header and a compact underslung silencer to create a distinctive sound. Mated to the engine is a six-speed gearbox with slip-and-assist clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter.
Triumph Daytona 660: Price
We expect the new Daytona 660 to cost Rs 8.80-9 lakh. Upon launch, it will take on the Honda CBR650R and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
