New Ultraviolette F99 breaks cover at EICMA 2023; F77 to go on sale in Europe
Ultraviolette Automotive unveiled its all-new F99 Factory Racing Programme at EICMA 2023, building upon the F99 concept previously showcased at Auto Expo 2023 in Delhi. The updated F99 features active aerodynamics and liquid-cooling.
Additionally, Ultraviolette made its European debut at EICMA 2023 with the F77 electric motorcycle. The F77 is priced between €9,000 and €11,000, with pricing subject to federal/state government incentives and taxes. Ultraviolette will begin accepting bookings for the F77 via its official website on November 15, 2023, and customer deliveries are set to commence by the end of spring 2024.
Ultraviolette F99: Powertrain and Specifications
The F99 is powered by a liquid-cooled electric powertrain with a peak power output of 90kW, enabling it to achieve a claimed top speed of 265kmph and accelerate from zero to 100kmph in just 3 seconds. The electric motorcycle features a steel hybrid frame, an aluminum swing arm, and carbon fibre components, resulting in a kerb weight of 178kg. It comes equipped with a 120/70 R17 section front tire, a 180/55 R17 section rear tire, upside-down front forks, and a rear monoshock.
Ultraviolette F99: Design and Active Aerodynamics
The F99 showcases a futuristic design with a fully faired body featuring angular panels, a striking front fascia with V-shaped headlights, a muscular tank, single-seat arrangement, and carbon fibre wheel covers. Notably, it incorporates active aerodynamics with an air inlet in the fascia directing air over the rider's helmet, and carbon fibre winglets that activates while leaning to reduce drag.
Ultraviolette F99: Launch and Pricing
The F99 is anticipated to be introduced in India sometime in late 2024 or early 2025. Given the pricing of the F77, the upcoming F99 is expected to be priced between Rs 4.50-5 lakh.
