Nissan India opens new parts distribution centre in Pune, Maharashtra
Nissan India has opened its third regional parts distribution centre in Pune, Maharashtra. The centre will supply genuine Nissan vehicle parts to customers from 35 Nissan dealerships in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Daman & Diu. The company adds that the new distribution centre will reduce the time taken to supply parts to these regions, helping it to provide better after sales service to car owners. Dealers will recieve new parts in maximum three to five days, after an order is placed.
The facility is situated in the Chakan industrial area and is spread across 60,278 square feet. It has staff strength of 70 people at present.
Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan Motor India limited said that the opening of the new parts distribution centre is in line with the best global customer service practices that Nissan follows. He adds that the company is keen on providing the best after sales experience to its customers.
The first Nissan parts distribution centre was opened in Chennai and caters to dealers across the country. The second facility is located in Haryana and supplies parts to Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Rajasthan, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttharkhand and Uttar Pradesh.
Nissan India sells the Micra, Sunny and Terrano in India. The company recently introduced a six-speed AMT equipped Terrano in the Indian market at Rs 13.75 (ex-Delhi). The transmission option is only available in the top, XV trim. It is mated to a 1.5-litre diesel motor that develops 110PS and 248Nm. In addition this, the Terrano AMT gets 14 new features.
