One-off Porsche 911 Sally Special is inspired from the Pixar film 'Cars'
Introducing the one-of-a-kind 911 Sally Special edition from Porsche. Porsche worked closely with the animators behind the beloved Pixar film 'Cars'. There will only be one 911 Sally Special, and Pixar has never before given such a project it's backing. RM Sotheby's will hold an auction for the unique vehicle on Saturday, August 20, 2022, as a part of Monterey Car Week in California. Two charities will receive the auction's revenues.
The unique supercar has several movie-related design cues, like the character's pinstripe tattoo behind the spoiler and a specially created "Sally Blue Metallic" paint job. The Porsche 911 Sally Special boasts a unique "Sally Blue Metallic" paint scheme and has a sculpted hood, broad air dam, and sloping roofline in addition to oval-shaped LED headlights with DRLs.
A 3.0-litre, twin-turbocharged flat-six petrol engine and a 7-speed manual transmission power the special edition 911. The mill can produce a maximum of 570Nm of peak torque and 480PS.
Interior features of the 911 Sally Special include automatic climate control, a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel with a drive mode selector that reads "Kachow! Mode," special cloth upholstery with a plaid pattern on the bucket-type seats, blue highlights on the dashboard and door panels, and automatic climate control. It has a touchscreen infotainment interface and a digital instrument cluster. Numerous airbags are used to protect passengers.
Girls Inc. will get a share of the money as a benefit for young women. The second component will be sent to the United States for UNHCR, an organization that assists Ukrainian refugees.
