This week on the OVEDRIVE show, we drive the all new Toyota Innova Crysta in India. It is truly one of the most anticipated vehicles. Toyota revolutionized the MPV segment with the Innova. With reliability and after sales support as the strong points, the Innova has dominated the segment for 11 strong years. Based on the TNGA platform, the Innova gets two new engines, 2.4-litre and the 2.8-litre. How do these engines perform? How much has the new Innova improved over the earlier version? Also, we compare the upcoming Toyota Innova Crysta to the Renault Lodgy. The Innova with its stellar sales performance has already set a high benchmark in the MPV segment. And with the new Innova Crysta, Toyota will enter into the premium space as it has got a new generation makeover. The Renault Lodgy, based on the Duster platform, too offers the benefits of a full sized MPV but is priced competitively. Does it make more sense, compared to the new Innova Crysta? We pit them against each other.

Honda will enter the compact SUV segment with the BR-V in India. We have already driven the Indonesian-spec model in Japan. Now we get to experience it in a more detailed manner. The Honda BR-V shares its platform with the Mobilio and shares powertrain options from the City.
