Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur customisation showcased in India

Porsche India hosted a special workshop for Porsche enthusiasts and media representatives at Porsche Centre Kochi. This special workshop comes from a tradition which began as a dream of Ferry Porsche who wanted to build his own dream car, and this is where the idea of customisations arose. With time, customers started asking for different customisations, rather than personalisations on their own prized Porsches. This basis of customisation and the entire concept of "No Two Porsches in the world are alike" culminates in the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur program.

Through its divisions, Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Porsche Tequipment and Porsche Classic, there is a near limitless array of personalisation possibilities with more than 700 options available from Exclusive Manufaktur alone. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur is available for all cars in the Porsche lineup.

To name a few, the 'Paint to Sample' scheme, allows a customer to choose from an array of more than 150 pre-approved colours for their cars. Going one level up on this, one can choose the 'Paint to Sample Plus' scheme (available only for the 911, the 718 and the Taycan) in which Porsche brings your imagination of the perfect colour of your dream car to reality with the Porsche level expertise and finesse. If you thought customisations are limited to mere paint jobs, Porsche has more surprises. One can pretty much customise each and every visual component of the car right from the wheels, the floor mats, the gear knob, the seats, armrests, headrests, logos, door entry lights, and the list goes on. Something as little as the key fob and cover holds 200,000 design possibilities, you see a dream car is no joke. In addition, customers can choose to become designers themselves during the ordering process by extending the personalisation options for individual components directly in the digital Car Configurator.

The Tequipment (Technical - Equipment) department allows one to personalise the sound system, entertainment units and anything falling under the technical zone according to the owner's preference. The best part of all is, Porsche allows the owner to be in complete control of changing any aspect of their vehicle whenever they want, even after making the primary purchase, and the Porsche warranty covers all irrespective of when they've been applied on or purchased.

We were introduced to two such one-of-a-kind Porsches fresh off the Exclusive Manufaktur program, and they didn't fail to impress a single bit.
The Panamera Turbo S in 'GT Silver metallic', fitted with 21-inch Panamera Exclusive Design wheels, showcased immaculate Carbon Fiber elements. It included the side skirts and specially designed front and rear aprons in carbon fibre. On the Exterior, the Sports exhaust system with sports tailpipes in black, tinted LED matrix headlights, including the Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus and exclusive design Tail lights. The super sporty yet stylish all Red interior of the exclusively created Panamera Turbo S, with Abachi Anthracite wood finish, trims included the Sport Chrono Package with the Porsche Design Subsecond Clock and an Exclusive Design gear selector.

The Carmine Red 'Cayenne GTS' fitted with 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, featured the GTS Interior Package along with decorative stitching in contrasting black and red and the GTS sports seat centre in Alcantara. The Cayenne came with more exclusive options; The Sport Chrono Package with the Porsche Design Subsecond Clock, Exclusive Design gear selector, Porsche Rear Seat Entertainment with BOSE Surround Sound System, Tinted LED matrix headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus and the Carbon Design Package.
