Porsche India launch the 718 Cayman GTS and 718 Boxster GTS
Porsche India is expanding its mid-engine sports car lineup with the addition of two new models, the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, priced at Rs 1.46 crore and Rs 1.50 crore (ex-showroom), respectively.
The Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and Porsche 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 deliver a one-of-a-kind blend of classic sportiness along with impressive daily usability. The GTS 4.0 models are at the evolutionary apex of the 718 models, which are meant for everyday usage, with its emotional 4.0-Litre naturally aspirated six-cylinder flat engine.
The front bumper on the GTS 4.0 cars is GTS-spec, with bigger air inlets. Porsche has also included tinted front headlights in the top-of-the-line 718. Aside from that, the 718 GTS 4.0 can be identified from a mile away thanks to two unique stainless steel tailpipes painted in high gloss black. In addition, the sports vehicles get 20-inch matte black alloy wheels.
The 3,995cc flat-six naturally aspirated petrol boxer engine in the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and 718 Boxster GTS 4.0 produces 397PS and offers 420Nm of torque with a manual gearbox or 430Nm with a seven-speed automatic transmission. It's worth noting that both rear-wheel-drive variants can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometres per hour in only 4.5 seconds, with a peak speed of 293 kmph.
The GTS 4.0 twins are the top of the line, with Race-Tex microfiber upholstery in the cockpit. A GT sports steering wheel and Sports Seats Plus are also included. A semi-digital instrument cluster, a seven-inch infotainment system, the Sport Chrono Package, and an eight-speaker sound system are among the other highlights. An adaptive rear spoiler, TPMS, sports suspension with a 20mm lower ride height, active damping system, mechanical rear differential with torque vectoring, six-piston and four-piston aluminium brake callipers (front and rear), powered parking brake and adaptive cylinder management are among the features available on the Porsche 718 GTS 4.0 twins.
After recently launching the Porsche Taycan range, the Porsche Macan and the Porsche Panamera Platinum Edition, Porsche India's latest addition to the lineup are the 718 GTS 4.0 twins and they will go on sale at Rs 1.46 crore for the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and Rs 1.50 crore for the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0.
