Porsche India reports highest-ever H1 sales

Porsche India recorded the best-ever first-half sales in 2024. It sold 489 units between January and June, reporting a 40 per cent increase compared to the same period in 2023. Out of 489 units, Porsche sold 93 examples of the iconic 911, while the Macan and Cayenne registered a sales of 306 units in the first six months.

The German marque has announced that it will introduce new models in the remaining half of this year, including the new 911, Cayenne GTS, and Panamera GTS. Customer deliveries will commence by the last quarter of 2024. Additionally, the new Macan and Taycan have already gone on sale. However, deliveries for these EVs are slated to begin in early 2025.

In other news, the brand recently introduced the new entry-level trims of the Macan EV in the country. The base Macan EV makes 340PS and 563Nm, and can achieve zero to 100kmph in 5.7 seconds. With the no extra weight of the front electric motor, it is lighter by 110kg, resulting in a longer range of 641km with a top speed of 220kmph.

On the flip side, the Macan 4S EV with the 100kWh unit has a more powerful rear-axle motor producing 448PS and 820Nm. Its overboost mode, which is also available in the base model, enables a brief extra power of 516PS. The Macan 4S EV offers a WLTP range of 606km but 0 it can hit 100kmph from a standstill in 4.1 seconds.
