Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition launched at Rs 4.98 crore
A limited-edition Range Rover has been introduced to the Indian market and is dubbed the SV Ranthambore edition. The brand has set a starting price of Rs 4.98 crores (ex-showroom) for a restricted quantity of 12 units nationwide.
As mentioned the Ranthambore Edition will be limited to just 12 units and each car will have bespoke door sill plates denoting which number it is. The SV division has used a special reddish-black paint on the body, with striking Corinthian Bronze and Anthracite highlights on the grille, tailgate, and even the 23-inch dark alloy wheels that are said to be modelled by a tiger's stripes.
A combination of light Perlino semi-aniline leather and Caraway is used throughout the interior, with contrasting stitching. Light linear wenge veneers, bespoke scatter cushions, noble chrome finishes, tiger-striped seat embroidery, and white ceramic dials all combine to create an interior that is both distinctive and opulent. This limied edition SUV will only be offered in the extended wheelbase model and gets completely reclining seats for rear-seat passengers, powered club table, detachable cupholders, and chilled section featuring SV etched glassware.
Under the hood, the Range Rover Ranthambore Edition uses a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, turbo petrol engine. The unit generates a maximum output of 400PS and 550Nm of torque.
Range Rover also claims that they will donate a portion of proceeds from each vehicle sale to the Wildlife Conservation Trust, for strengthening Tiger and wildlife conservation efforts.
