Registration for Mahindra Baja SAEINDIA 2020 commence
The registration for the 13th edition of the Mahindra Baja SAEINDIA has commenced and the final date to enrol is June 22. To participate, the interested engineering colleges must produce a team of 25 students out of the 50 SAEINDIA student members in the SAEINDIA collegiate club.

The teams participating will be tasked to make an all-terrain vehicle - essentially a buggy. The vehicle must comply with multiple parameters set for suspension setup, brakes and a roll-cage also taking into consideration the New Product Development Cycle (NPD). The weight limit for the Buggy has been set at 125kg.
The 13th edition of the Mahindra Baja SAEINDIA started on the 23rd of last month at Mumbai. Bala Bharadwaj, the MD of Boeing India and the president of SAEINDIA, signed a memorandum of understanding with Pawan Goenka, MD, Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. and also the chairman of the steering committee of BAJA SAEINDIA 2020.

Last year, the 12th edition of the Mahindra Baja SAEINDIA saw 363 registration out of which 251 teams made it to the finale. Around 400 entries are expected for the 13th edition.
A Virtual BAJA SAEINDIA 2019, a qualifying round held before the BAJA SAEINDIA 2020, will be held at Chitkara University, Chandigarh, on July 12-13, 2019. The qualifier involves judgement on various parameters such as the participants' knowledge of the rulebook, concept of the buggy, project plan, design methodology, CAE Analysis, the Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Validation Plan (DVP), the online test, the presentation, the extempore and the viva sessions.

The eBAJA, that is to be held NATRiP, Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh on January 23-26, 2020, will offer all new teams financial support of Rs 50,000. The mBaja will be held in Punjab on March 6-8, 2020.
