The unveiling of the new Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is likely to be just around the corner as its design patent picture has been leaked on the internet. Given that the launch is expected to take place at the Royal Enfield Motoverse (Rider Mania) 2024 between 22-24 November 2024. This new image reveals fresh details about the upcoming and fifth 650cc motorcycle from Royal Enfield. The bike maker already sells the Interceptor 650 (INT 650), Continental GT 650, Super Meteor 650, and Shotgun 650.

Not only the brand has been working on several motorcycles across various categories, it has also filed patent applications for numerous names. And one of that could be given to the Scrambler 650. As per some media reports, it might be called the Bear 650.

Royal Enfield Scrambler 650: Design

More to the point, the leaked patent picture suggests the Interceptor 650 inspired-look for the RE Scrambler 650. Although it takes inspiration from the INT 650, there are a few distinct elements on the Scrambler 650 to create a distinction between the two.

The motorcycle, going by the picture, gets a new handlebar, inclduing braces. Additionally, there are upside down front forks (third 650cc model to get USD), a round LED headlamp similar to the new Royal Enfield motorcycles, LED indicators, a scrambler-style oval side panel, new single-piece seat, and more importantly, a new and single exhaust with the header pipe fitted with a metal guard.

The Scrambler 650 is also expected to benefit from a new four-inch colour TFT display like the Himalayan 450 and Guerrilla 450. Lastly, it could get new dual-purpose tyres, possibly with knobby-pattern design.

Royal Enfield Scrambler 650: Engine specifications

The Scrambler 650 will come powered by the 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine producing 47PS and 52Nm of torque. Like the Guerrilla 450, which gets a different engine mapping and a smaller rear sprocket than the Himalayan 450, the Scrambler 650 could come with a different sprocket and distinct engine mapping that to bring out the scrambler character.
