Simple One electric scooter launched for Rs 1.66 lakh
Simple One electric scooter has been launched for Rs 1.66 lakh ex-showroom(Bangalore) and it has a claimed IDC range of 248 km, which is an increase of 36 km and the prices have not been hiked for the Simple One.
The Simple One houses two battery packs, a fixed 3.7 kWh and a portable 1.3 kWh battery pack which adds to a 5 kWh unit. The battery powers a motor that puts out 11.5 PS and 72 Nm of peak torque. The Simple One has a claimed top speed of 105 kmph and a 0-40 kmph dash in 2.77 seconds.
The electric scooter tips the scales at 136 kg and has a seat height of 796 mm. Some noteworthy mentions include a 7-inch TFT dash, tyre pressure monitoring system, regenerative braking, USB charging port, remote access, online tag, OTA updates, ride statistics, remote alerts, and phone tethering to name a few. It gets four ride modes - Eco, Ride, Dash and Sonic.
The electric scooter runs on 12-inch wheels shod with TVS Eurogrip tyres and gets disc brakes on both ends with a CBS system. The electric scooter takes about eight hours for a full charge with 750W charger. Currently, there are only 10 dealerships in the country, but the expansion plans include a target of 150 dealerships and 200 service centers by the end of 2026.
