Spec Comparison: Ola S1 Pro Vs Simple One Vs Ather 450X
The premium electric scooter segment was dominated by the Ather 450X but just recently, we have seen two new exciting electric scooters paving their way into the EV space. Ola S1 Pro attracts with its cute looks and impressive pricing whereas the Simple One claims to be the longest-range electric scooter in the world. While all three scooters have their own USPs and impressive connectivity being common, which is the most impressive. We do a spec comparison to find that out.
Ola S1 Pro Vs Simple One Vs Ather 450X - Powertrain and Battery
Ola launched the new electric scooter in S1 trim with 121 km range and S1 Pro trim with 181 km range. Powering the Ola S1 Pro is a 3.97 kWh battery pack. Talking about the Simple One, it gets the largest battery out of the trio that is 4.8 kWh and it has a claimed range of 236 km on a single charge. The last one here is the Ather 450X that comes with a 2.9 kWh battery pack and a claimed range of 116 km on a single charge.
Ola S1 Pro Vs Simple One Vs Ather 450X - Power and Acceleration
Ola S1 Pro produces 11.39bhp and gets Normal, Sports and Hyper riding modes. In the Hyper mode, Ola S1 Pro accelerates from 0-40 km/h in under 3 seconds whereas top speed is claimed at 115 km/h. Talking about the Simple One, its electric motor churns out 9.38bhp and peak torque of 70 Nm. Simple One accelerates quickest with a claimed 0-40 km/h sprint time of 2.95 seconds and a top speed of 105 km/h. Lastly, the Ather 450X produces 8.04bhp and accelerates from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds whereas the top speed is 90 km/h.
Ola S1 Pro Vs Simple One Vs Ather 450X - Charging
Talking about normal charging first, the Ola S1 Pro can be charged completely in 6 hours and 30 minutes. Plug it with a fast charger and it can be charged to 50 per cent in just 18 minutes, which is good for the 75 km range. The Simple One has the biggest battery, it gets a removable battery and can be charged from 0-80 per cent in 2.5 hours via a 15A socket charger. With fast charging, Simple One can be charged at a rate of 2.5 km per minute to 80 per cent. Lastly, the Ather 450X can be fast-charged at a rate of 1.5 km per minute whereas normal charging takes 4 hours and 45 minutes for a full charge.
Ola S1 Pro Vs Simple One Vs Ather 450X - Features
All three scooters come with 7-inch touchscreen instrument clusters as standard. With a suite of connected features, all three scooters include navigation and charger locator features. However, Ola S1 Pro excels with features like cruise control, hill hold and brake pad wearing sensor. All three scooters also get stylish-looking alloy wheels, reversing mode and all-LED headlights and taillights. Both the Ather 450X and Simple One also come with Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) but it's missing on the Ola S1 Pro.
Ola S1 Pro Vs Simple One Vs Ather 450X - Price
Ola Electric has priced the S1 Pro from Rs 1.10 lakh but in some states, the pricing can go up to Rs 1.30 lakh. On the other hand, Simple Energy's One is priced at Rs 1.10 lakh ex-showroom, without subsidies and the price could vary in different states in respect to the subsidy. The Ather 450X is the oldest and the most expensive scooter out of the trio, priced at Rs 1.32 lakh, after subsidies.
