The base G and GX variants of the Innova Crysta are costlier than the entry-level G and GX variants of the Innova Hycross. The Innova Crysta G trim is pricier by Rs 58,000 compared to the Innova Hycross G variant. Whereas, its GX variant is costlier by Rs 59,000 compared to the Innova Hycross GX trim. Having said that, the prices of the Innova Crysta VX and ZX variants have not been disclosed yet.

The new generation Innova Hycross is considerably longer and wider than its predecessor. It also has a significantly larger wheelbase, which is 100mm longer, compared to the Innova Crysta. However, the height of both models remains identical.

The new generation update has brought advanced technology to the Innova Hycross, especially ADAS. It features dual-zone temperature control (front and rear), ventilated front seats, electronically adjustable rear ottoman seats, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, a seven-inch digital instrument cluster, a nine-speaker JBL sound system, a 360deg camera, auto-dimming IRVM, a panoramic sunroof, eight-way power adjustable driver seat with memory settings, power tailgate with height lock, LED headlights, LED fog lamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, electric parking brake, six airbags, i-connect with more than 65 connected car features, and smartwatch connectivity, among others. In addition, the brand offers Toyota Safety Sense â" a suite of advanced driver assistance systems ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), which comprises forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, high beam assist, and lane departure warning.
On the other hand, the Innova Crysta is equipped with LED projector headlamps, seven airbags, leather seats, a powered driver seat, an eight-inch touchscreen system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, engine start/stop switch, cruise control, tilt and telescopic adjustable steering wheel, vehicle stability control, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, rearview parking camera, and front and rear parking sensors. In a nutshell, the Innova Hycross packs a raft of features compared to its previous generation model.
Toyota Innova Hycross vs Toyota Innova Crysta: Powertrain
The new Innova Hycross is powered by two engine options: a 2.0-litre, inline-four, naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 173PS and 209Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine with TNGA fifth-gen hybrid system that makes 184PS and 188Nm of torque (electric motor generates 206Nm). The former is mated to a CVT automatic, while the latter is paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission. Further, the Innova Crysta is powered by a 2.4-litre, inline-four, turbocharged diesel motor that delivers 150PS and 343Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to a five-speed manual gearbox.
Since the Innova Hycross has ditched its diesel powertrain, the Innova Crysta is the only model to be powered by a diesel engine, which only comes mated to a manual gearbox. On the other hand, the Innova Hycross does not get a manual gearbox option, but it offers modern strong hybrid technology with EV-only driving mode.
