SsangYong launches Rexton W in UK at £21,995
SsangYong, the South Korean automaker owned by India's Mahindra & Mahindra, has launched the Rexton W for the UK markets starting at £21,995. The seven-seater is powered by the 2.0 litre turbocharged e-XDi200 diesel engine that makes 155PS power and 360Nm peak torque. There's the choice of a 6-speed manual transmission or 5-speed Mercedes-Benz T-Tronic automatic, similar to what we have here in India.
The Rexton W is built using a body-on-frame construction, double wishbone and coil spring suspension at the front, and a five link rigid axle with coil springs at the rear
The interiors get a mild change from the Indian model with aluminium and chrome inserts and new upholstery. Cruise control, air conditioning, electrically operated & heated door mirrors, leather covered steering wheel and gear knob, and CD & RDS radio with iPod and Bluetooth connectivity are standard features. The top variant also gets an electrically operated driver's seat with memory function, leather upholstery, privacy glass, sunroof and rear parking sensors.
There are seven seats, with the rear row having two seats
Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Active Rollover Protection (ARP), ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and Hill Descent Control (HDC), dual front and side air bags are the safety features included.
The Rexton W comes in four colours such as carbonic grey, space black, silent silver and grand white.
