SSC closes production of Ultimate Aero

North American supercar manufacturer SSC is stopping production of the Ultimate Aero hypercar. The one-time world record holder is being sent off in a grand fashion, with the introduction of a special edition Ultimate Aero XT. SSC will be building only five of these specimens and once they are sold, the Ultimate Aero's production will cease.

The Ultimate Aero XT will have a dual-intercooler, twin-turbocharged 1300PS V8 engine from the Tuatara along with its 7-speed paddle shifter and also the braking, cooling and fuel system. Customers get to choose their own paint schemes and SSC says that these colours will never be used again on any Ultimate Aero or Tuatara.
