Suzuki India launches the OBD-2B compliant range

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) enters 2025 with the launch of its OBD-2B compliant motorcycles in India. The updated line-up includes the V-Strom SX and the Gixxer Series (Gixxer SF 250, Gixxer 250, Gixxer SF and Gixxer), now comes with new color options.

New V-Strom SX

The Suzuki V-Strom SX is now available at a starting price of Rs. 2.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It is powered by a 249cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, OBD-2B compliant engine that delivers 26.5 PS at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm 7,300rpm of peak torque. Noteworthy mentions include Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) and Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP). Other features include LED headlights and taillights, a Bluetooth-enabled digital instrument cluster with Suzuki Ride Connect, knuckle covers, and a sturdy aluminium rear carrier with a 6 kg capacity. The short, all-black dual-exit muffler and engine under-cowling add to the rugged look.

New Gixxer Series

The Suzuki Gixxer series is powered by a 250cc BS-VI OBD-2B compliant engine that pushes 26.5 PS at 9,300 rpm and 22.2 Nm at 7,300 rpm, The Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 will set you back by Rs 1.98 lakh and Rs 2.07 lakh respectively, both prices are ex-showroom. They are now offered in three new colour choices: Metallic Mat Black No. 2, Metallic Mat Black No.2/ Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, and Metallic Triton Blue/Pearl Glacier White,

Noteworthy features include Suzuki Oil Cooling System (SOCS) and Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP), Bluetooth enabled multi-function digital instrument console with Suzuki Ride connect application, Dual Channel ABS, a 6-speed gearbox, sporty dual mufflers, brushed alloy wheels, and rear tyre huggers. Premium brushed alloy wheels.

The 150cc Gixxer and Gixxer SF now retails at Rs 1.38 and Rs 1.47 lakh respectively, both prices are ex-showroom. both motorcycles are powered by OBD-2B compliant single cylinder engines that make 13.6 PS at 8,000 rpm and 13.8 Nm at 6,000 rpm. They now sport three new colours: Metallic Triton Blue/Pearl Glacier White, Glass Sparkle Black, and Metallic Oort Gray/ Metallic Lush Green.

The feature list includes Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP), LED headlights and six-spoke alloy wheels to name a few.
