Tata Curvv EV bookings open today; price starts at Rs 17.49 lakh

Tata Motors has opened bookings for its Curvv EV today. Priced between Rs 17.49 lakh and Rs 21.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom), the MS ZS EV rival, was introduced last week. It gets two battery pack options, fast charging support, and a host of features.

Tata Curvv EV: Variants & colours

Tata offers the crossover coupe in a choice of five variants: Creative, Accomplished, Accomplished Plus S, Empowered Plus, and Empowered Plus A. Customers can choose from Pristine White, Pure Grey, Empowered Oxide, Flame Red, and Virtual Sunrise colour schemes.

Tata Curvv EV: Highlights

The Curvv EV comes with a variety of features, such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster, a nine-speaker, 320-watt JBL sound system; wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, powered driver's seat, ventilated front seats, wireless charging pad, an electronic parking brake with auto hold (standard across all variants), panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate with gesture control, six airbags, front and rear parking sensors, 360deg camera, ESP, and ABS with EBD.

Tata Curvv EV: Range, charging & power output

As mentioned earlier, Tata offers the Curvv EV with two battery pack options: a 45kWh unit with an ARAI range of 502km (300-350km claimed real-world) and a 55kWh battery pack with an ARAI range of 585km (400-425km claimed real-world). Moreover, the EV makes 167PS and 215Nm of torque when paired with the larger battery pack.As claimed, the Curvv EV can go from zero to 100kmph in 8.6 seconds and provides a top speed of 160kmph.

Tata says that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in 40 minutes using a 70kW charger. This charger can also provide a range of 150km in 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the EV comes equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V).
