Top-5 best selling cars for July 2022

The semi-conductor scarcity issue is yet to be resolved and vehicle sales are yet to reach their peak once again. This doesn't mean Maruti Suzuki doesn't dominate as the leading vehicle manufacturer in India. Infact they managed to take up all the top 5 spots keeping in mind we did not include any SUVs in the list. Here's a list of the best-selling cars of July 2022.

Maruti Suzuki S-Presso:

The fifth most sold car in India for July 2022 was actually the Maruti Suzuki Eeco with 13,048 units sold. The van comes with a five/seven-seat version. It gets a dual-tone theme colour interior. The dashboard has an air con unit and instrument cluster. The headrests are integrated into the seat and hence not adjustable. It comes with ABS and EBD as well as a driver-side airbag. There are rear parking sensors and child locks for doors too.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire:

Maruti Suzuki's entry-level sedan, the Dzire comes in next as it sold 13,747 units in July 2022. The Dzire has managed to stay fresh even though its last update came in 2020, but it might need some additional updates right now. The exteriors are highlighted by a redesigned grille, front bumpers, and fog lamp housings. A new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system is the only significant interior change. Updates to several features include hill-hold, colour TFT, ESC, and cruise control. Recently, the car was introduced with a factory-installed CNG option as well.

Maruti Suzuki Swift:

The Maruti Suzuki Swift has been around the Indian market for quite some time now. Its sporty looks and fun yet reliable engine make up for the perfect hatchback without being too heavy on your wallet. Which is one of the reasons why Maruti Suzuki sold over 17,539 Swifts in July 2022. It comes with a good list of features as well like projector headlights, LED DRLs, 15-inch precision-cut alloy wheels, a coloured 4.2-inch TFT display cruise control, idle start-stop function, and key synchronised auto-foldable ORVMs.

Maruti Suzuki Baleno:

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno is the freshest car on this list and Maruti Suzuki sold 17,960 Balenos in July 2022. The car gets a 360-degree camera and even a heads-up display. The other highlights of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno include a new front bumper, LED headlamps, new fog lights, new alloy wheels, LED taillights, a black and blue interior theme, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Maruti's SmartPlay Studio app, steering-mounted controls, engine start-stop button, automatic climate control and a height-adjustable driver seat. It's pretty clear to see why the Baleno tops the charts now.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR:

No surprises here. The best-selling car of July 2022 was the Maruti Suzuki WagonR. Maruti Suzuki sold 22,588 units of the WagonR. The car gets premium beige and dark grey melange seat fabric seats, seven-inch Smart Play Studio with smartphone navigation, dual airbags, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBD), front seat belts reminder, high-speed alert system, rear parking sensors and a few more features.
