Top five highest-selling compact SUVs in June 2024

The SUVs have been dominating markets around the world and India is no exception. Every month, quarter, and year, their sales continue to uptick, irrespective of the segment and powertrain. And here, we are going to find out the top five highest-seller compact SUVs in the country.

It is not surprising that the Hyundai Creta emerged as the highest-selling compact SUV in India. The brand sold 16,293 units of the facelifted SUV in June 2024 as compared to the sales of 14,662 units in May 2024. The Grand Vitara has bagged the second spot with 9,679 units sold in the previous month, reporting a slight decline in the sale as against 9,736 units of May 2024. Then, the Kia's Seltos following closely to the Grand Vitara, was managed to sell 6,306 units. But its month-on-month sales saw a drop by 6.38 per cent from 6,736 units of May 2024.

Further, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder registered a 9.44 per cent growth at 4,275 units in the last month. The brand had sold 3,906 units of the SUV in May 2024. On the fifth spot in the list stands the Honda Elevate. The sales of the Elevate grew 38.5 per cent to 2,151 units from 1,553 units of May this year.

As a bonus, here are June 2024 sales figures of other cars in the segment: Volkswagen Taigun (1,519 units), Skoda Kushaq (1,198 units), MG Astor (938 units), and Citroen C3 Aircross (136 units).
