Toyota Glanza CNG variants, specifications leaked ahead of launch
Toyota India is set to enter the CNG segment with the Toyota Glanza CNG. A leaked document on the internet has shed light on the specifications and variants to be offered with the Glanza CNG ahead of its imminent launch.
Toyota Glanza CNG specifications
The Toyota Glanza CNG will continue to be powered by the 1.2-litre DualJet petrol motor it shares with the near-identical Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The document suggests this motor will put out 77PS in the CNG mode, a 13PS drop from the 90PS it puts out when run on petrol. There should be a commensurate drop in torque too, considering the power outputs seem very similar to the recently launched Swift CNG, expect the Glanza CNG to put out 99Nm in CNG mode and 119 Nm in petrol mode. The Glanza CNG is only expected to be offered with a five-speed manual and a fuel-efficiency figure close to 30 km/kg can be expected.
Toyota Glanza CNG variants, features
The Toyota Glanza CNG is the S, G ad V variants. The base E variant loses out on this fuel option. The features list should be identical to the standard Glanza and should include features like LED lighting, HUD, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment, climate control, auto headlamps, auto-dimming mirrors, 360-degree cameras and six airbags.
Toyota Glanza CNG expected prices, launch date
The Toyota Glanza CNG should be priced at a Rs 95,000 to Rs 1 lakh premium over the standard Glanza. Expect prices to range between Rs 8.5 to Rs 10.5 lakh. The Glanza CNG shoud launch in India in the next few weeks. Also expect the Baleno CNG to follow suit soon after.
