Toyota Innova Hycross spied testing, expected to make debut in November
Prior to its possible premiere at the Delhi Auto Expo in 2023, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is still testing the new Innova Crysta in India. We now have a glimpse inside the redesigned MPV thanks to fresh spy photos. Toyota Innova Hycross, the redesigned Innova, is anticipated to be unveiled by Toyota in November.
For the first time for the brand, which has traditionally depended on a more durable body-on-frame basis, the Innova Hycross will be built on a monocoque platform. Another first is the availability of a powerful hybrid powertrain option that will drive the front wheels rather than the back ones, as the Innova has traditionally done.
Regarding the engine selection, the Innova will be made available for the first time with a powerful hybrid powertrain. It is most likely going to include a 2-litre petrol engine that produces over 190PS (combined) together with an electric motor that would use an e-CVT to drive the front wheels.
The new Toyota Innova Hycross receives an auto-dimming IRVM and a new floating touchscreen infotainment system, as shown in the spy photos. The vehicle is also anticipated to include a new digital instrument panel, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, different seating arrangements, and more. The external spy pictures also show redesigned grille, new alloy wheels, and horizontally positioned LED tail lights.
The initial price of the Toyota Innova Hycross is anticipated to be approximately Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will serve as a competitor to other well-known MPV models including the Mahindra Marazzo, Kia Carens, and the more expensive Kia Carnival.
