Toyota Rumion launched in India, prices start from Rs 10.29 lakh

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the Rumion MPV in India, with pricing beginning at Rs. 10.29 lakh (ex-showroom). Essentially the Toyota Rmion is just a rebadged Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, which has been a very successful product for Maruti Suzuki. Available in 5 different Petrol variants and just the single CNG grade, bookings for the Rumion are officially underway for a token amount of Rs 11,000.

Toyota Rumion Design and Features

The redesigned Rumion has a new grille inspired by the previous edition of the Innova Crysta, projector headlights, dual-tone alloy wheels, chrome accents all around, and vertically stacked LED taillights on the exterior.

Cruise control, Toyota i-Connect technology, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, automatic climate control, and a height-adjustable driver seat are among the Rumion's interior amenities. Safety features include dual front and front-seat side airbags, ABS with EBD, Engine immobilizer, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and more.

Toyota Rumion Powertrain

The Rumion is powered by a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine paired with a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle produces 103PS and 137Nm of torque in petrol mode, while the CNG variant produces 88PS and 121Nm of torque. Toyota claims a fuel efficiency of 20.51 kmpl for the Petrol variant and 26.11 km/kg for the CNG variant.

The Rumion's cousin, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has a starting price of Rs 8.64 lakh which it will rival in the Indian market. Other possible competitors for the Rumion are the Maruti Suzuki XL6 and the Kia Carens.
