Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder recalled again
Toyota Kirloskar Motors (TKM) has announced yet another recall for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder for the third time since its launch. It has recalled the 4,026 units of the SUV due to a possible defect in the rear seat belt assembly. Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki has also issued a recall for 11,177 units of the Grand Vitara.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder recalled
Toyota has announced the recall for 4,026 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, manufactured between 8 August, 2022 and 15 November, 2022, to investigate a possible issue in the rear seat-belt assembly. Owners of the recalled cars will receive communication from Toyota dealerships to replace the affected part, which will be undertaken free of charge.
Earlier this month, Toyota had to issue a recall for the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and Glanza owing to a possibly faulty airbag controller unit, affecting 1,390 units produced between 8 December, 2022 and 12 January, 2023. It had also announced a voluntary recall of 994 units of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder to examine a potential defect in the height adjuster plate assembly for the front seat belt. The affected 994 units were manufactured from 9 to 26 November, 2022.
