TVS Asia One Make Championship returns for 2024
TVS Racing is set to kick off the third edition of its TVS Asia One Make Championship (OMC) as part of the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC). Following the success of the inaugural TVS Asia OMC in 2022, which witnessed a record top speed of 215.9kmph at Chang International Circuit in Thailand, the championship aims to expand its international and domestic presence. In fact, the upcoming season will commence at the Chang International Circuit in Thailand. Meanwhile, the Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship will kick off with Round 1 on March 15, 2024. The racing format remains consistent with six rounds scheduled for the 2024 season.
This time, the TVS Asia OMC RR 310 features various upgrades, including Electronic Fuel Injection (EFi) and electronics systems. Additionally, other enhancements include refined overall braking with improved engine braking, providing a more consistent braking system. Not to mention, a notable safety upgrade for the upcoming season is the inclusion of Alpinestars race suits equipped with integrated air-bag systems. The air-bag systems are designed to inflate during a crash, enhancing rider safety and instilling added confidence.
This season will feature the participation of the top three riders from the previous season: Md Muzakkir Mohamed (Malaysia), Hiroki Ono (Japan), and Vorapong Malahuan (Thailand). These riders will be joined by six new participants from Germany, Korea, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Japan.
