Upcoming KTM 390 Duke spied testing again alongside new-gen Husqvarna
The launch of the all-new KTM 390 is anticipated to be imminent, as test mules continue to undergo public testing. In fact, earlier spy pictures have even revealed the production-spec bodywork of the 390 Duke, including a new flashy orange shade for this next-generation streetfighter. Interestingly, accompanying the 390 Duke in the recent sighting was the next-generation Husqvarna Svartpilen, both covered in identical zebra-patterned camouflage.
While KTM is busy developing the new 390 Duke, Triumph has introduced the all-new Speed 400 in India that has created fierce competition in the sub-500cc segment. This retro streetfighter, with 40PS and 37.5Nm of torque, has received an overwhelming response, amassing 10,000 bookings within the first 24 hours of its availability. Priced at an astonishing Rs 2.33 lakh (ex-showroom), the Speed 400 has significantly undercut the on-sale 390 Duke, which costs Rs 2.97 lakh (ex-showroom). With its well-rounded package, Triumph has certainly raised the bar in the sub-500cc motorcycle category. Additionally, Harley-Davidson has entered the segment with its X440 roadster, priced between Rs 2.29 lakh and Rs 2.69 lakh (ex-showroom), which has also made the headlines. Consequently, the new KTM 390 Duke will need to be priced competitively to face this formidable competition.y
