Upcoming Nissan Magnite facelift spotted

Introduced in late 2020, the Nissan Magnite has been due for a mid-life update for a while. And recently, an image of the alleged Magnite facelift went viral on the internet, hints the launch could take place sooner than later. Interestingly, this updated model was found in a video, where Bharat NCAP is testing the Tata Punch EV and the Nexon EV. Both electric SUVs have scored a five-star safety rating.

Nissan Magnite facelift: Exterior

The Nissan Magnite facelift, as the picture shows, seemed left partly covered. This has given away its updated design, especially the front end. Going by the image, expect the SUV to feature a larger grille, now adjoining the headlamps, and a redesigned front bumper. However, it is expected to keep the same boomerang-shaped daytime driving lights. There are no pictures of its profile or rear end, but the Magnite facelift is likely to get a reworked rear bumper and newly designed alloy wheels.

Nissan Magnite facelift: Interior

Since the interior of the updated Magnite still remains under the cover, it is hard to say what exactly Nissan has planned for the sub-four meter SUV. However, we can expect Nissan to offer a revamped interior.

This cabin should also get an updated infotainment system and all-digital instrument cluster, 360deg camera, wireless charging pad, more and faster charging ports (Type-C or Type-A), connected car tech, telematics, and new leatherette seat covers. A sunroof, ventilated seats, and six airbags may also be on the cards.

Nissan Magnite facelift: Powertrain

The refreshed Magnite is likely to continue with the 72PS/96Nm 1.0-litre, naturally aspirated petrol engine and 100PS/160Nm 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor. Transmission options could include a five-speed manual, an AMT, and a CVT automatic.
