Upcoming Okinawa electric scooter spotted testing
Okinawa, a Gurugram-based electric vehicle manufacturer, is preparing to launch its new Oki90 electric scooter in India.
Okinawa had planned to display high-speed and long-range electric scooters at the 2020 Auto Show, but the Covid-19 epidemic forced several adjustments in the product pipeline. They are, however, gearing up for a fantastic year ahead, with the forthcoming Okinawa Oki90 electric scooter that is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2022.
While the paintwork has been cleverly covered behind a camouflage sheet, elements like the longer and expanded seats, massive chunky alloy wheels, silver-finished rear grab rail, and dual spring suspension at the back are all evident. Larger alloy wheels will undoubtedly improve the scooter's overall riding characteristics.
LED DRLs and what appear to be LED indicators will be installed on the forthcoming Okinawa Oki90 electric scooter. The same goes for the primary headlights! The rear view mirrors are chrome-plated. The scooter will have one of the biggest wheels in the segment when it is finished.
A detachable lithium-ion battery and a quick charger will be included with the Okinawa Oki90. Expect similar stats in the range of comparable Okinawa luxury vehicles, with a peak speed of roughly 80 kmph and a full charge range of 150 km to 180 km.
In addition, the Okinawa Oki90 will have a fully digital console with a Bluetooth connection. The switch to change between Eco and Power modes may be found on the right side.
The final pricing of the scooter is expected to be announced in April of this year. It would most likely be priced between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.2 lakh.
