Vespa Dual launched in India, prices start from Rs 1.32 lakh

Piaggio Vehicles has revised the Vespa series of premium scooters to meet the newest BS Phase Il standards, as well as two new models for the Vespa 125 and Vespa 150 scooters in the Indian market. The price range begins at Rs. 1.32 lakh (ex-showroom) for 125cc VXL variants and ends at Rs. 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for 150cc SXL versions.

These new dual-colour variants will be available in attractive combinations as follows:

Vespa Dual (VXL):

Colour: Pearl White + Azuro Provenza and Pearl White + Beige
Price (ex-showroom, Maharashtra):
VXL 125: Rs 1.32 lakh onwards
VXL 150: Rs 1.46 lakh onwards Vespa Dual (VXL):

Vespa Dual (SXL):

Colour: Pearl White + Matt Red
Price (ex-showroom, Maharashtra):
SXL 125: Rs 1.37 lakh onwards
SXL 150: Rs 1.49 lakh onwards

The Italian manufacturer is combining 125cc and 150cc powertrains with a Dual range. The smaller 125cc models can produce 9.65PS at 7,400 RPM and 10.11Nm at 5,600 RPM. However, 150cc models produce 10.64PS at 7,400 RPM and 11.26Nm at 5,300 RPM. Both engines are now BS6 P2 certified, use E20 petrol and have OBD-II diagnostics.

Some of the features of the Vespa Dual include one-sided front suspension with twin hydraulic shock absorbers, front disc brake, LED headlights, CBS with 125cc and single-channel ABS on 150cc, 11-inch front wheel and 10-inch rear wheel with 150cc and 10-inch wheel on both ends on 125cc, 110/70-11 front and 120/70-10 rear tyres on 150cc and 90/100-10 on both ends on 125cc.

The colour schemes can be found towards the bottom of the side body panels, where they perfectly blend into the colour accents on the floorboard. This colour accent is also seen on the panels behind the front apron, as well as the seat cover and pillion backrest.
