Volkswagen India begin production of the Tiguan ahead of its launch on December 7

Volkswagen Passenger Cars India today announced the commencement of production at its Aurangabad factory of its newest SUV, the thrilling new Tiguan. Volkswagen in a statement has promised to deliver four new SUVWs in India by 2021.

The 5-seater exciting new Volkswagen Tiguan is built on the world-famous MQB platform and has a cutting look, excellent performance, safety, and exciting new assistive technologies. The Tiguan will be fitted with a TSI-powered all-wheel drive system. A 2-litre turbocharged gasoline engine is paired to a 7-speed DSG gearbox with 4MOTION technology.

The Volkswagen Tiguan SUV has a redesigned front grille with chrome accents, LED Matrix headlights, LED daytime running lights, and a reworked bumper with triangular fog lamps. The alloy design has been modified on the side, and the character lines have been made more visible. LED tail lights, which are now thinner, complete the back.

Volkswagen is taking registrations for the new Tiguan, which will compete against the Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, and Citroen C5 Aircross whenever it is released.
