Volkswagen Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition launch tomorrow: What should you expect?
Volkswagen is preparing to launch a new special edition of its flagship SUV Taigun that will appeal to both enthusiasts and adventure seekers. Tomorrow, Volkswagen India will release the Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition.
The Taigun Trail Edition features functioning roof bars, a 'Trail' insignia on the tailgate, and decals on the rear fenders. Furthermore, the 17-inch wheels are painted black, and the brake callipers are painted red. Volkswagen offers the Taigun Special Edition in Deep Black Pearl and Carbon Steel Grey Matte colours.
This slightly tougher version of the Volkswagen Taigun SUV will be based on the GT trim level. The 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine will power the Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition. This engine produces 150PSP and 250 Nm and is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG transmission.
To boost the rough appeal of the Taigun GT Edge Trail Edition, the automaker is planning to make cosmetic tweaks to the SUV's cabin. Aside from Trail badging, this might incorporate black upholstery with contrasting stitching. The rest of the cabin, including the basic amenities, is expected to remain unchanged.
The Taigun is currently priced from Rs 11.6 lakh right up to Rs 19.75 lakh. We expect the Trail Edition to be priced on top of all the current existing variants.
