Volkswagen Taigun GT Plus gets ventilated seats
Volkswagen India has revised the Taigun's feature list and for an extra Rs 25,000, the Taigun's GT Plus model is now available with ventilated front seats.
Volkswagen earlier only offered leatherette and ventilated seats on the 1-litre TSI Topline variant.
Interestingly, the GT Plus model is still available for Rs 18.71 lakh without the ventilated seats (ex-showroom). The trim with cooled seats is now on sale for Rs 18.96 lakh (ex-showroom).
The addition of this function enhances the whole offering, which already boasts other features like a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto) and an eight-inch fully digital instrument cluster, electric sunroof, ambient lighting, and wireless charging. Regarding safety equipment, the Taigun comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring, hill-hold control, and multi-collision brakes.
Powering the SUV are a 1.0-litre, inline-three turbo-petrol producing 115PS and 178Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol motor that makes 150PS and 250Nm of torque. The former comes mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission, while the latter is paired with a six-speed manual or seven-speed DSG automatic unit.
