Volkswagen Taigun & Virtus Onam Editions launched in Kerala
On the occasion of the upcoming Onam festival, Volkswagen India has introduced the new Onam Edition for the Virtus and Taigun. Limited to only 100 units each for Kerala, both special edition models have been priced from Rs 13.57 lakh and Rs 14.08 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively. They are based on the Highline and GT Line variants of their standard corresponding models.
The latest Virtus Onam Edition and Taigun Onam Edition boast a dual-tone horn, front parking sensors, a TSI fender badge, and puddle lamps, among others. Both cars come with an all-black paint job, featuring design elements in black, such as the grille and wheels.
Both Taigun Onam and Virtus Onam editions come powered by the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine producing 115PS and 178Nm of torque. This motor can be mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
On the other hand, the carmaker has also announced six new dealerships for the state, including Calicut, Trivandrum, and Kochi. There is also a new body shop for Kochi with service bays to carry out major repairs and maintenance work. With this, Volkswagen now has 21 showrooms and 16 service centres across Kerala.
