What to expect on the Jeep Grand Cherokee
Jeep India has confirmed that the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee will be unveiled on November 11 in the country. Since it will be locally assembled within the country we expect it to be priced at around Rs 85 lakh (ex-showroom). Let's look at what else one should look forward to from the upcoming Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Design influences from the Meridian and Wagoneer will continue to be used in the next Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2022. A seven-slot grille with narrow headlights, LED DRLs, a floating roof impression at the D-pillar, and new LED taillights will be seen on the opulent SUV.
The upcoming Grand Cherokee will only be available with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, unlike the previous generation's Grand Cherokee, which had both gasoline and diesel engine options. The power outputs of this engine, which will come standard with an 8-speed automatic transmission, have not yet been disclosed by Jeep.
Four-wheel drive and selectable terrain modes, including Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand, and Snow, are anticipated for the new Grand Cherokee.
The interior of the SUV will have a sizable 10.1-inch touchscreen in the centre, a digital instrument display, and a separate touchscreen placed in front of the co-driver. ADAS technology will be included in the new SUV, according to the manufacturer. Other notable features include a motorized tailgate, heated front seats, a leather interior, a head-up display, and a panoramic sunroof.
In India, the Jeep Grand Cherokee will face off against other high-end SUVs including the Land Rover Discovery, Mercedes GLE, and BMW X5. Deliveries of the new Grand Cherokee are anticipated to start in a few locations by early December.
