Yamaha R15M gets new paint job in India for 2024

India Yamaha Motor has launched a new colour for the R15M called the Icon Performance at Rs 2,08,300 (ex-showroom). The price of the Metallic Grey has gone up by Rs 300 to 1,98,300 (ex-showroom). In addition, the brand has bestowed it with turn-by-turn navigation and music controls that can be controlled via the Yamaha Y-Connect app.

This new Icon Performance paint job features carbon fibre finish on the panels, which draws inspiration from the R1M. There are also fresh distinct graphics and larger R15M decal compared to the R15M Metallic Grey.

Key highlights of the R15M include a colour TFT display, bi-functional LED headlight, riding modes (Street and Track) traction control, quickshifter, and a slip-and-assist clutch, upside down front forks, a rear monoshock and a 282mm front and a 220mm rear disc. The motorcycle weighs 141kg with all fluids and has a seat height of 815mm.

Powering the Yamaha R15M is the same 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled SOHC engine producing 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of torque at 7,500rpm. This motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the R15M competes against the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Hero Karizma XMR, and KTM RC 200.
