Earlier this year, Skoda introduced the facelifted Octavia, featuring a refreshed design, a more premium and minimalist interior, upgraded petrol and diesel engines with mild-hybrid functionality, and a variety of new features. We recently had the opportunity to drive the updated Octavia in the Czech Republic. The 2024 Skoda Octavia facelift sports a more dynamic design, while the interior draws inspiration from the latest Superb and Kodiaq models. The cabin includes a dual-tone theme, a new steering wheel, a 13-inch central information display, and eco-friendly leather upholstery made from recycled fabrics and renewable materials. However, it does not include the new Skoda Smart Dials present in other models. The Octavia facelift gets a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol TSI Evo2 engine with two options (115PS/220Nm and 150PS/250Nm), both available with mild-hybrid technology and DSG. It also includes a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with all-wheel-drive, producing 204PS and 320Nm, and a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine exclusive to the RS version, delivering 265PS and 370Nm. Additionally, there is a 2.0-litre diesel engine available with two power outputs: 116PS/300Nm and 150PS/360Nm. Transmission options include a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The 2.0-litre diesel engine with AWD and the 2.0-litre unit used for the Octavia RS now deliver 14PS and 20PS more power, respectively, than before.
