2018 Ford Aspire sedan launched in India, variants explained
The facelifted Ford Aspire sedan has been launched in India at Rs 5.55 lakh (ex-showroom India). The 1.2 litre Dragon petrol variants are priced between Rs 5.55 lakh and Rs 7.24 lakh while the diesel variants will cost between Rs 6.45 lakh to Rs 8.14 lakh. The top-spec automatic with the 1.5-petrol is Rs 8.49 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom India. Changes include a new bumper with silver inserts similar to the black ones on the new Freestyle, a redesigned headlamp cluster, new fog lamp housings and a larger front grille finished in silver. Changes to the rear are limited to new inserts in the rear bumper and a subtle black lip at the bottom to break the visual bulk of the rear end. Ford Aspire Ambiente: Rs 5.55 lakh (P) and Rs 6.45 lakh (D), ex-showroom
This is the range starter variant of the Ford Aspire sedan in India. It comes equipped with body coloured bumpers, black ORVMs, rear parking sensors along with rear parking lamps. Inside the features list includes adjustable front and rear headrests, tilt adjustable steering wheel, front power windows, front seatbelt reminder and fabric seats. Importantly, Ford offers dual front airbags, and ABS with EBD as standard on all variants of the Ford Aspire sedan.
Ford Aspire Trend: Rs 5.99 lakh (P) and Rs 6.89 lakh (D), ex-showroom
The Ford Aspire Trend is positioned above the Ambiente variant in the sedan's line-up. In addition to what is offered on the base variant, the Trend trim comes with a black applique on the B-Pillar. Also, the ones comes with turn indicators embedded on the wing mirrors. The features list also includes keyless entry, USB, Bluetooth compatible music system, armrest for the rear seat, power windows on both front and rear and gear shift indicator.
Ford Aspire Trend+: Rs 6.39 lakh (P) and Rs 7.29 lakh (D), ex-showroom
We believe is this variant of the Ford Aspire that will connect with its prospective audience. And that is because this one comes with front fog lamps, electrically adjustable mirrors, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation that also doubles up as the reverse camera. This variant of the Ford Aspire also gets automatic climate control.
Ford Aspire Titanium: Rs 6.79 lakh, Rs 8.49 lakh AT (P) and Rs 7.69 lakh (D), ex-showroom
The Titanium is positioned on the premium end of the variant listing. This one comes with a chrome treatment on the grille, 15-inch alloys on the outside. The features list also includes push button start, height adjustable driver seat. The six-speed automatic variant comes with traction control, hill start assist and also electronic stability program.
Ford Aspire Titanium+: Rs 7.29 lakh (P) and Rs 8.14 lakh (D), ex-showroom
The top of the line Titanium+ trim of the Ford Aspire comes with automatic lights and wipers in addition to the other features offered on the base and the mid-spec variants of the sedan. The features list also includes 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. This variant also gets dual USB ports. In terms of safety, Ford has equipped this one with dual front, side and curtain airbags, Sync3 with emergency assist.
