2019 Kia Seltos SUV: Variants explained

We've had our second go at the 2019 Kia Seltos recently, and this time managed to experience two of the three engines. What you already know is that the Seltos brings with it quite a few new features, previously unseen in this segment. There are up to 16 variants to choose from as well, so a wide price range is a given.

Three engine options are available. These are a 1.5-litre petrol with 115PS/144Nm, a 1.5-litre diesel motor with 115PS/250Nm and a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol with 140PS and 242Nm

Kia is offering the Seltos with three automatic options, aside from a 6-speed manual. There will be a CVT, a 6-speed auto and a 7-speed DCT. The CVT is paired to the N/A petrol, the diesel is available with the torque converter while the turbo-petrol can be had with the DCT. All engines are BSVI compliant.

Uniquely, two variant lines are on offer with the Seltos, Tech Line and GT Line. The GT Line is the more sporty one and is available with the turbo-petrol only. The Tech Line can be had with the diesel and the other petrol.
