The new Honda CBR650R for the model year 2019 has been launched at a price of Rs 7.70 lakh ex-showroom pan India. The motorcycle was first showcased at the EICMA 2018 and the bookings for the same had begun in the month of February and one can buy the new supersport from Honda 22 Wing World dealerships across the nation and one BigWing dealership that was recently inaugurated in Gurugram, India. The update had made the motorcycle dearer by Rs 30,000, however, the motorcycle packs more technology than before.
The 2019 CBR650R is the much needed replacement of the Honda CBR 650F which was more of a tourer than a fun machine
The 2019 CBR650R borrows its styling heavily from the larger and sportier Fireblade
The 2019 CBR650R gets all the mechanical updates including the fueling and the engine from the naked CB 650R
The overall stance of the 2019 Honda CBR650R is much more aggressive than the Honda CBR 650F
The motor churns 84PS at 11,500rpm and generates 60Nm at 8,000rpm. Compared to its predecessor, the new bike has an increment of 5 per cent
The 2019 Honda CBR650R comes with an all-digital instrument cluster
The LED instrument cluster reads out important pieces of information of the motorcycle such as the engine speed, speed and gear position indicator
The 2019 Honda CBR 650R comes equipped with assist/slipper clutch and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) that maintains rear wheel traction and can be switched off whenever needed
The chassis design too has been updated that made the overall bike lighter by 6kg
CBR650R gets a dual-channel ABS setup with dual radially mounted callipers on the front and a single-piston rear calliper.
It also comes with new, adjustable 41 mm Showa Separate Fork Function (SFF) USD forks
The 2019 Honda CBR650R comes with an 810mm seat height. Also, the seat appears to be wider than the previous model
The 2019 Honda CBR650R comes with a compact rear section, again inspired from it elder sibling
