Hero launched three motorcycles in the Indian market recently - Hero Xpulse 200, Hero Xpulse 200T and the Hero Xtreme 200S, and the prices for the same are - Rs 97,000, Rs 94,000 and Rs 98,500 respectively. As we know it, the Xpulse 200 is the off-road biased sibling, while the Xpulse 200T is a touring oriented motorcycle. The Hero Xtreme 200S, on the other hand, is a fully faired motorcycle based on the Hero Xtreme 200R naked motorcycle that was launched last year.

Now, the Hero Xtreme 200S rivals the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 as the motorcycles have a similar body type and displace the same capacity. That said, in our comparo, we have the YZF-R15 V3 as it has a full fairing body style and puts out about the same power as the Hero Xtreme 200S.

The Pulsar RS200 gets dual projector headlamps while the other two get all LED units. The design language of the YZF-R15 V3 has been derived from its elder sibling, the YZF-R1 while the other two have exclusive and distinctive styling of their own.

The Xtreme 200S gets an all-digital display and Bluetooth connectivity which displays turn-by-turn navigation on the instrument cluster. The navigation syncs with Google maps in the rider's smartphone. The Yamaha YZF-R15 gets an optional USB charger from the manufacturer as an external accessory.

Engine
The Pulsar RS200 is the most powerful in the comparo with a 200cc engine producing 24.5PS and 18.6Nm of torque. The Xtreme 200S gets a 200cc engine with a power output of 18.4PS and17.1Nm of torque mated to a five-speed gearbox. While the other two benefit from the sixth cog.
