Suzuki and Salman Khan's Being Human launch special-edition Access
Suzuki Motorcycles and Salman Khan's Being Human Foundation have come together to launch a special-edition Access scooter. Salman is the brand ambassador of Suzuki, and now Suzuki dealerships will also retail his charity foundation Being Human's apparel and merchandise.
Changes to the Suzuki Access special edition are purely aesthetic. They include faux leather seat cover, chrome-plated grab rail and rear view mirrors, 'Being Human' front emblem, 'Apna Way of Life' stickers on the side and a Pearl Mirage White paintjob. The mechanicals remain the same, with the Access being powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled 124cc engine that is good for 8.5PS of max power and 9.8Nm of peak torque. But with these additions, the Access now somewhat looks like the new Vespa VX.
The 'Being Human' edition is priced at Rs 58,975 (on-road, Mumbai) , slightly more than its current price tag of Rs 57,887 (on-road Mumbai). The company is targeting to sell 40,000 special edition scooters and another Rs 3 crore turnover from merchandise sales.
Part of the profits will be used to finance heart surgeries, cataract operations, education of the underprivileged and bone marrow donation camps.
