2019 Geneva Motor Show: Hyundai Tucson N Line teased
Hyundai teased the sportier version of the crossover, Tuscon. The more athletic version of the Tuscon crossover will be dubbed the Tuscon N Line and will sport a mild hybrid system. The Tuscon N-line follows the similar likes of the Hyundai i30 N hot hatchback which was launched in the recent past, however, it won't be the full blown performance-oriented crossover.
The teased crossover sports blacked-out alloy wheels and a sharply designed DRL. The N-line package treats the Tuscon with sporty styling features, larger wheels, twin exhaust tips,'N' badges, sporty seats and red stitching.
The standard Hyundai Tuscon is currently offered with 2.0-litre and a 2.4-litre naturally aspirated petrol motors which produce 163PS and 183PS. The N Line is expected to be offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor tuned to deliver 270PS to be at par with its souped-up rivals such as the Audi SQ5 and the recently unveiled Volkswagen T-ROC R. Expect the Tuscon N line with a dual clutch transmission and an all wheel drive system as standard.
Hyundai is expected to spawn three new vehicles in India by the end of this year. One of them is Hyundai Kona which we drove last year and the second could be a sub-four-metre compact SUV rivalling the Mahindra XUV300, Ford Ecosport, Tata Nexon and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. The third car could be the facelift Hyundai Tuscon, however, we expect only cosmetic changes as a part of its mid-life update.
